A555 Relief Road
Brief
The A555 relief road was initially scheduled for construction in the 1940s, with much history and planning surrounding it. I was interested to explore my ideas into making it more of an event that was taking place.
Minimal text for passing local traffic's attention, featuring the airport icon and a soon to be empty recognisable A6 road.
Solution
An interesting personal project of mine, this gave me the opportunity to explore visual communications for something I have an interest in - highways.
Response
Logo Design
Minimal and clean design was an important aspect in the logo design to follow the classic, easily and quickly read highway signs in the UK, it needed to be visible to passing traffic - the main audience of this campaign.
The logo has been designed so it can appear in the centre of an image, or a corner with surrounding text.
Photography
It was important to capture the road from all angles. This easily demonstrates the scale of the project. With aerial photographs of the road, this gives more impact when using imagery on a larger scale, such as web banners or social posts.
